Healing: A way to a healthy and happy life

By | Last Updated: 16 January 2023

It is often said that time is the best healer. Is it though? Does time heal our wounds or have we become self-aware of them to the point that we don’t care anymore. Well, it’s a tough question to answer.

Our body is perfectly capable of healing physical wounds with time. But what about emotional wounds. Who is going to heal them? Time? I highly doubt that. All the fears and doubts about healing, the importance of a healer, its impact, and everything related to this topic will be discussed here in a short, crisp yet understandable manner, so my dear readers, keep reading to know more.

Eliminate Your Fears and Doubts about Healing

Healing: What is it? Who to heal from? How to heal? Who is a healer and what impact does he have? Why should I even try to heal?

Out of all the questions mentioned above, have you ever asked yourself even a single one? If yes, then this blog is what you need.

What is it? Healing means getting better. It means not getting hurt from your previous wounds. Please know that wounds are of various types and every wound has a different healing process.

You should remember that irrespective of the type, every wound must be given equal importance and equal opportunity to heal. Falling from the stairs can hurt the same as the bitter words of someone you love so, the idea of categorizing wounds as big or small is utterly foolish.

Healing yourself may feel like a tough and impossible task in the beginning. But no matter in which phase you are at, whether you want to get better at waking up in the morning or at handling your emotions. Getting better at relationships with others or yourself. Healing can help you achieve your goals.

Who to heal from? Sometimes wounds can be a person, place, name, or thing. You need to heal from everything that aches your heart and gives you anxiety. Your childhood trauma, that toxic person in your life, the person who broke your heart, or anyone who makes you doubt your worth, you need to heal from all these people and experiences to live a happy and peaceful life.

Who is a healer? Everyone talks about healing and its benefits but has anyone helped you heal. Is there anyone with whom life automatically gets easier and happier? The person who makes you forget all your wounds and traumas? If there is then you should never let go of that person because that person is your healer.

In today’s world where everyone is either consciously or subconsciously hurting others, you have got yourself a healer and that is something phenomenal in itself.

Why should I even try to heal? When you are a fully healed and healthy person, you are less likely to be the reason for someone else’s wounds. Because nowadays most people are not even aware that they need healing and keep hurting others unintentionally. This cycle goes on until someone decides to break the chain and heal instead.

A Step Towards Healing

Healing is not something you can get overnight. You need to try every day irrespective of the results you are getting. Firstly, be aware of the things I am about to mention.

So, if you have realized you need to heal, that’s an achievement in itself. Let’s get started with the healing process now.

·        Now that you have gracefully accepted that you are wounded, it’s time for you to take help from those who can help you heal. Therapists and your loved ones will always be there for you.

·        You should not only talk about your feelings but also about the things that are going on inside your head. Not talking about the things that hurt you can make your heart heavy. So, talk whenever you feel like it.

·        Exercise. Yes, don’t just stay on your bed all day. It will make things worse. If you can’t exercise, go for a walk. Do some physical movement or the least you can do is, get out of your bed and take a shower.

·        Make self-love and self-care a priority. Learn to consciously respond instead of impulsively reacting.

Conclusion

And that’s it. That’s all you needed to know about healing and growing. See, healing is a very complex journey. It is not the same for everyone. If you are hurting, you need to realize that it’s temporary.
